or this

I chose to work with the Wine Tasting stamps and staying with the theme made a wine bottle tag

I used two of the digital stamps together and printed them onto my wine tag.  I coloured with Copics and stamped my sentiment from Simon Says Stamps...  Do you cut your stamps?  I did for this one, as the sentiment is a long one.   I used a corner punch to finish off tag.

Do pop over to Mygrafico blog and see what the other's came up with and don't forget our challenge is still going on.... Halloween.

Hi all.... Well I hope you enjoyed the blog hop at Red Carpet Studio yesterday... if you missed it pop over here to see where to start.  And a big welcome to my new followers...

Now because of the hop, I'm a day behind with my posts  ~

This week's challenge over at Red Carpet Studio is inspired by "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Fresh Brewed Designs! They are giving away 3 digital stamps of the winner's choice!

Along with the randomly chosen winner of this week's challenge, the card design team will also be taking a look at ALL of the submissions and voting on their top three "spotlight"submissions. The spotlight submissions, along with the random winner, will be announced on Tuesday November 6th and will receive a special badge for their blogs.

I used some PP's from Mygrafico to make my background.  The fence die is from Sizzix.  My little Bat Cat is from Penny Black.  I stamped and then coloured with Copics.   My sentiment was printed in Word and cut with a Spellbinders tag die and I added some little dies in the corners and on the tag.

So come join us with your Halloween projects.... would love to see them here

Welcome to the ABC Ransom Blog Hop,
hosted by Red Carpet Studio!

If you've come from Georgie's blog, you're in the right place.

The Red Carpet Studio designers thought it would be fun to host a mystery blog hop while showcasing projects that can be made using all those leftover letters in your stash - hence where the "ransom" comes in. Ransom notes play a huge role in mystery/suspense films, and are often created out of random letters cut from magazines, newspapers, etc. in order to disguise handwriting.

While we won't be doing any kidnapping or holding anybody ransom today - we do have some creative projects to share with you!

For my project using leftover letters in my stash, I created...

I had some sparkly left over letters that were given to me from a girl at work, so I took the challenge literally.... I added the "i" and the 'u" ( note this was a upside down n) and then randomly used the other letters to fill in my card.  I used a small Spellbinders heart to make the heart die cut.  It took 4 layers to make it the same size as the letters.  I coloured them with red Copic and then Kindyglitz in red.  Finished with a red flower

We're also holding some blog candy ransom! However, the blog candy is hidden, and only certain stops of the hop are hiding it. The only way you can win is if you comment on those blogs! Now, we're not going to tell you whose blogs those are (that would be too easy) but we will tell you what the prizes are!
$20 Gift Certificate

There will be three winners. Please make sure to leave your contact information when commenting so we can contact you if you win. You have until next Saturday, November 3rd, to hop and comment. Winners will be announced with the start of our next layout challenge on Sunday November 4th at Red Carpet Studio.

And don't forget to check out this week's challenge at Red Carpet Studio! Our challenge this week is inspired by "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and the challenge is to create any fall or Halloween card.

Your next stop is Tonya G's blog.

P.S. My letters is... N

If you can put all the letters together from each stop of the hop (they're in order), you have a chance to win a mystery prize! Once you've figured out our hidden message, email it to redcarpetstudiochallenge@gmail.com. The mystery prize winner will be announced with the other winners on Sunday November 4th. HINT: The message is a clue as to what our next layout challenge will be. :)

I'm entering this card into the Moxie Fab World Alphabet stickers challenge.

O Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging!

This is a fun carol, but today my Christmas Tree is not green but gold!

Cream Trees

Gold Trees

It's hard to see the subtle difference in these two.  One background is water-coloured with Pearl pearlescent paint and the other with Gold Pearlescent paint.  I stamped the Hot of the Press Christmas tree in watermark on the painted backgrounds and gold embossed them.  It was quite hard to see where I had stamped them, so one got a bit close to another on my first card!  The sentiment is from the same set.   There is also a very elegant looking reindeer and some lovely snowflakes, so I suspect it will get some more use before Christmas.

I also got myself 3 new Christmas embossing folders today.  So a few more embossed cards will be done as well.  The are very good when I need something a bit different in a hurry.  I've experimented with one of the folders with some parchment type paper... but not sure if I like the result.   I'll take a photo tomorrow and then see if I will share it or bin it!

Off to bed early for me tonight.  Busy weekend doing some spring cleaning.  The window sills need some attention after the winter.  Looking like a nice day tomorrow so might fire up the barbie for dinner.  Here's hoping anyway.

PS ~ not sure what's going on with Blogger tonight... my font colour seems to have faded!  It looks black on my preview but looks faded when I finishHope it's not too difficult to read.

Take care and have a great weekend

Watercoloured butterflies.

I used one of the pieces of watercoloured backgrounds I made over the weekend, to make a sympathy card I need for a friend, whose Mum passed away last week.

Butterfly sympathy

The watercoloured paper was made with aqua crayons.  I loved the graduated look of the paper, so decided to make a tall card.  I stamped the butterflies from a Hero Arts set and coloured the spots with Copics and added dots with a white gel pen.  I added some stripes of the pale blue card down each side.  The sentiment is from a set by MFT  and the inside sentiment is from a Hero Arts sympathy set.

I had my first reassessment at the gym today.... I've lost 3 kgs ( around 6lbs) but did have a bit of a scare.... my trainer was showing me some free weight exercises, which I did, then felt rather dizzy when I'd finished.   Had to sit with my head between my knees.... but it was basically because I'd not eaten since a light lunch... need to remember to have something to snack on before doing hard out exercise!   All in all though, I am already seeing a difference.

Time to catch up on a few more blogs.  Take care

Mygrafico Challenge ~ Halloween.

Well I tell you, this week at Mygrafico is all about Halloween.  And the team got not one but two sets to work with.  Both are from Revidevi.

Isn't this a fun project.  I found the template on this site. I started by printing one of the PP's onto card and then put it through the printer again and printed the template on the back.  I printed the other PP onto to plain paper and printed the lining on the back.

For the front of the shoe, I printed off the cat and cut it out.
With the leftover lining paper, I made a matching tag.

The hat and spider were cut out of the main shoe PP.  I stamped and embossed the spiderweb in the corner and hand wrote the "BOO!" with a white gel pen.  I've given these to a friend at work for her 9 year old for Halloween.

Be sure to pop over to Mygrafico and join us with your Halloween project.

Had a great restful weekend.  Lots of reading, lots of colouring and made some awesome watercolour sheets for backgrounds.

I've already made one card with one of the papers.  I did half of it yesterday and finished it this afternoon when we got home.

Enjoy your week
