Start each day with "Whee"!

What a great sentiment..... my Saturday was just like that.... I got to play with friends!  Our little group of stamping friends meet at Sandie's place for a day of stamping, creating, talking, eating... what more could you ask for.

One of our group, Helen, had to have by-pass surgery awhile back, but is now well on the road to recovery, thank the Lord,... and she joined us for the day.  Plus Sandie's neighbour Marcia and her 9 year old daughter, Andie.  The day just flew by.  I had some projects in mind that I wanted to do so was pleased to get them done... one was my DT sample for next months SSC colour challenge.... so it will have to wait to be revealed.... but here are some of what I did...

First for Play Date Cafe challenge 83 - "a splash of green" -
PDCC83

Not sure if that's a bit more than a splash!  The photo makes the two greens look a bit as if they clash, but in real life it's not that bad.  Had fun colouring that MFT~ Pure Innocence stamp.  I had this colour scheme in mind and bought a couple more green Copics on my way home on Friday.

Next is another MFT ~ Pure Innocence stamp.... the one with the "Start each day with "whee"!" on it...
Whee

Isn't this just the sweetest little stamp and sentiment.  I used Copics and paper piecing to colour the image.  I'm not sure who produces the wonderful background PP I used, as I forget to look before I cut the 12 x 12 sheet up into 4 pieces.  I just loved the greens and browns on it ~ parts of it had a trees and then parts had bikes all over it... interesting page.

And my final share today is a quick card I made with the piece of PP I had left from making the card above.
One of a kind

I started with a Kraft base and added the strip of PP left.  As there is a bit of a bike in the top corner of the PP I used that as my inspiration.  Stamped a Penny-farthing bike from the HA set "Three Bikes" cut it out with a Spellbinders die and then sponged some distress ink while it was still in the die and then used a fine-line marker to draw round the inside of the die.   I stamped the sentiment onto more kraft and used a Spellbinders Tag die to cut it out.  Added some sponging to that as well.

I did get 1 and a half more cards made.  Plus some bits and pieces cut out or coloured.   All in all a very fun day.... but I did come home to an extremely sore back which is still very sore today.  Which is why I DID NOT rise at 7.00am to join the Hero Arts Scramble this morning... My brain and heart wanted to be there to join in, but the body said a BIG NO WAY HOSEA....

Take care everyone

Dawn
